Mission: To serve as an integral social service in the community, improving the emotional and spiritual health of women in the area.
About: We are a nondenominational ministry for women, promoting emotional and spiritual healing. We provide Peer Counseling, Support Groups, Bible Studies, Prayer groups, and educational opportunities. We are staffed by Christian volunteers coming from various backgrounds and we provide complete confidentiality and a non-judgmental atmosphere, making it a safe place to begin to deal with hurts. The first center was started in opened in 1989 in Indiana and has since spread to 30 locations in the US and around the world. This is the first center for Arkansas.
Services: One on one counseling, support groups, bible study, prayer groups, marriage counseling, chapel, & library. Our areas of support include Abuse (every form), Anxiety, Childlessness, Discouragement, Eating Disorders, Grief & Loss, Healing of Memories, Jail, Illness & Disability, Marriage Counseling, Parenting, Personal Spirituality, Relationship Issues, Self Esteem, Sexuality, & Singleness.
Volunteer Opportunities: You can become a volunteer at the center by calling our Director Karen Buth at 479-295-2218, along with completing a training program. We also need people to get involved by becoming monthly financial partners supporters. Our center functions only through donations. Everything is free for the women who come to the center and our volunteers are not paid. We also have a need of nice couches, chairs, tables, love seats, & decorations to make the center cozy and comfortable when the hurting clients come in.
Hours of operation: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm & Saturday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
