Mark Michaels was previously the Program Director for KGBI in Omaha, Nebraska for nine years. But prior to that, Mark was an announcer and assistant Program Director at KLRC while studying Broadcasting at JBU. When not at work, you'll find Mark hanging out with his wife, playing with his kids, reading a book on his back porch (aka "Happy Place") or cheering on his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers.

What three words would your loved ones use to describe you?
Genuine, frugal, and compassionate.

Architect! I've always loved designing my own thing (thank you LEGO), so all the way through high school I thought for sure I would end up as an architect. Today I get to help design our programming strategy and love it!
What could we probably find you doing when you're not at the station?
I'm a fan of anything I get to do with my wife/best friend (and my kids come in a close second). We love exploring new places to hike or take our kayaks (and we live in the perfect part of the country to explore God's beautiful creation)! Also, if it's the afternoon you will likely find me taking a nap. That 3:30am alarm clock can be a bit brutal!

Grateful
What is your favorite quote?
"I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly" —Jesus. "I brought cheese dip!" from Christy is a close second though.
How would you describe your job to an alien who had no idea what you were talking about?
I sit at a giant breakfast table with microphones and share life with friends all over the area. We get to celebrate the gift of a new day, listen to some amazing music, and have a lot of fun along the way!
