What is a Podcast?
A podcast is basically just a radio show that you can listen to on-demand on the internet. That means instead of listening to the show live, you can listen any time you want! There are two basic ways to listen. You can listen to the podcasts at Real.fm (called streaming) or on the Real FM App, or you can download podcast episodes to your mobile device (like your phone or tablet) and then listen any time, even if you don’t have an active internet connection.
Listening on Real.fm or the Real FM App
Listening to podcast episodes on Real.fm is easy! Just visit the Real FM Podcasts page and click on the podcast you’d like to listen to. This will bring up a list of episodes. Click on the episode you’d like to play, and then click the play button. To listen via the Real FM App, first download the app to your mobile device, then select the podcast you'd like to listen to under "Podcasts" in the menu.
Subscribing to a Podcast
Downloading podcast episodes to your mobile device isn’t too difficult either!
For iPhones or iPads
The easiest way to listen is through the Apple Podcasts app. It comes pre-installed on most recent devices, or you can find it in the App Store. There are two ways to find a Real FM podcast in the Podcasts app.
One option is to search for the name of the podcast in the app. When you find it, just tap the “subscribe” button. Another option is to visit the Real FM Podcasts page at Real.fm on your device. Tap on the show you’d like to subscribe to, then find the "Subscribe via Apple" button. This should open that show in the Podcasts app. Now just tap the subscribe button!
Once you are subscribed, the app will automatically download new episodes for that podcast whenever they are released.
For Android Phones or Tablets
The easiest way to listen is through the YouTube Music App. You can find the YouTube Music app on the Google Play store. There are two ways to find a KLRC podcast in the YouTube Music app.
One option is to search for the name of the podcast in the app. When you find it, just tap the “subscribe” button. Another option is to visit the Real FM Podcasts page at Real.fm on your device. Tap on the show you’d like to subscribe to, then find the "Subscribe via YouTube" button. This should open the show in the YouTube Music app. Now just tap the subscribe button!
Once you are subscribed, the app will automatically download new episodes for that podcast whenever they are released.
Additional Subscription Options
Apple and Google podcasts aren’t the only places where you can subscribe to podcasts. Real FM's podcasts are also available on a number of other platforms and apps, including Spotify.
You can find links to each show’s listing on these platforms on the podcast show pages at Real.fm, or you can just search for a Real FM podcast in your podcast app of choice.
