The Real FM App
The Real FM App is a service provided by John Brown University at no cost and is intended for use as-is. This page is used to inform visitors of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for users of this service. If you choose to use our service, then you agree to the collection and use of information outlined in this policy. Any data collected is used for providing and improving the service, and we will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this privacy policy.
Information Collection and Use
Personal Data
We respect your privacy! The only personally identifying data collected and stored on our servers is when you voluntarily submit a shout-out audio message. With permission, the app will use your device microphone to enable you to create recordings to send to the broadcast studio. This is the sole purpose of this feature and it cannot be used in any other form. By submitting shout-out audio, you permit Real FM to share your audio on-the-air.
Usage Data
We may collect certain non-personally-identifying information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system, your mobile internet browser, and other diagnostic data.
Log Data
In a case of an error in the app we collect on-personally-identifying information on your phone called log data. This log data may include information such as your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our service, the time and date of your use of the service, and other statistics.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory. This service may use third-party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. This service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18 years of age. In the case we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to immediately delete this information.
