83rd Annual JBU Candlelight Service

About the Event

Lift up your hearts this Christmas season at John Brown University’s Christmas Candlelight Services, taking place December eleventh through the thirteenth in the Cathedral of the Ozarks.

This year, the JBU Choirs will present selections from Vivaldi’s “Gloria, Bach’s Magnificat,” and many other beloved Christmas anthems heralding the birth of Christ. You’ll get to worship too! Join the congregation in singing carols like “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing,” culminating in a candlelit, a cappella “Silent Night.”

The event is free and open to all! Each service will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior!

Since 1942, the annual Candlelight Service has ushered in the Christmas season for countless JBU students, faculty and staff, as well as for alumni and the community of Northwest Arkansas. It is a beloved tradition that attracts visitors from all over Northwest Arkansas each year.
