Mission statement: Sharing the love of God to bring hope and encouragement to those in need. Purpose: Dustin's Dream is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and religious purposes. Specifically, the purposes of the organization are: a) To support, Coordinate, and conduct international mission trips; b) To support and conduct charitable medical, nutrition, and construction programs internationally; c) To provide scholarships for students desiring careers in healthcare; and d) To assist those in need, both domestically and internationally.
About: The DCMF was founded in 2012 after the death of our son, Dustin Chamberlain. Dustin was a Biology/Pre-med major at Baylor University, had just returned home for Christmas break, and was murdered in the invasion of the Chamberlain home. Dustin was passionate about serving Christ, telling others about Christ, and had just started talking about participating in a short term medical mission trip with the medical service organization he was involved with at Baylor University. Through the foundation, we have helped to construct a 3 story medical clinic in Guatemala City, near the city dump. We are now helping provide monthly support to that clinic, as well as helping with other ministries in Guatemala. We are actively pursing involvement in the local community to help those in need, and have donated to Bright Futures and Hunger and Thirst Ministry. We give out scholarships every May at the SSHS, where Dustin attended, and annually a scholarship is awarded at Baylor University. We are funded solely by donations.
Services: Medical missions to 3rd world countries; community support, scholarships for students going into the healthcare field.
Volunteer opportunities:Volunteer opportunities are available for event support, medical mission trips, and community outreach
