Organization Information

Mission: Savvy Giving by Design is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comfort, support, and healing to families with a child facing medical crisis by transforming the interior spaces of their homes at no cost to them.

About: The organization was founded by an interior designer in CA who helped a family remodel a space for a child who had a life changing illness, and wanted to give back to the community. We are a chapter off of her main organization, but we function independently and solely on fundraising and donations. Our chapter benefits the Ozark region and families here, and all proceeds go directly toward the project we are working on. All of our room and home redos are completely free to the recipient families.

Services: Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and healing space for children and adolescents who have a medical crisis, such as terminal illness or life changing accidents. We will transform, update, or remodel their homes as needed in order to provide a place that they can heal physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, as well as aide in daily use and functionality. We comply with ADA standards and recommendations for each individual case, as well as take the child's wants and needs into consideration. We also will redo rooms for siblings, as they play a vital role in the healing process as well as have to endure the trauma of a sibling who is very ill. We utilize a local design firm, contractors, journeymen, businesses, and volunteers that will donate time and/or products to help make these projects a success. We are always searching for recipients as well as volunteers and donors.

Volunteer opportunities: We have several resources available! You may find us on our website at https://savvygivingbydesign.org/sgbdozarks or on Facebook at https://www,facebook.com/groups/ozarks/. We have a private group that anyone can join on Facebook, but we keep it by request or invite so that the recipient family will not have sneak peeks as to the design and products going into the space ahead of the reveal. We post Fund-A-Needs, which are products that individuals can purchase online to donate to our projects. We also have a monetary donation links available, or anyone can contact us directly to volunteer time or donate funds.
