About:

RMHC supports the critical needs of children through family-centered programs:
The Ronald McDonald House program provides support and resources that help keep families close. This proximity helps families participate in important medical decisions. Our first Ronald McDonald House opened in 2016 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Our second Ronald McDonald House opened in 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room program, located in the hospital just steps away from a child's bedside, provides a place for families to relax, regroup and regain the strength they need to support their child. Our first Ronald McDonald Family Room opened in 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Our second Family Room opened in 2013 at Mercy NWA in Rogers, Arkansas.
RMHC of Arkoma has been fulfilling its mission, with the help of the Northwest Arkansas and River Valley communities, since 1999. In that time, we have served over 17,000 children and families thanks to your support!

Services:

We believe that no child should have to be in the hospital alone. Our hospitality program keeps families with their sick or injured child and ensures families remain actively involved in their child's care. RMHC provides the resources families need to stay together and support the health and well-being of their child. RMHC provides emergency shelter and support for families through our Hospitality Program. While children are hospitalized, we provide their family with room, board, meals and support to enable families to devote their time and energy to being there for their child and remaining actively involved in their healthcare

Volunteer Opportunities:

SHARE-A-MEAL AND WISH LIST
Our Share-A-Meal volunteers and Wish List donors are vital to the success of our programs and comfort of the families we serve. Cooking a meal or collecting wish list items is also a great way for groups and individuals to volunteer without a regular commitment.
