Mission:
To Bridge the gap between indigenous people, the Marshallese, and all those in between, by providing a safe and supportive environment for youth to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. God, Sports, and the Great outdoors.
About:
We are a Christian indigenous outreach that helps low-income families and at-risk youth. After a transformative wrestling camp, James and Rhonda felt called to start a Christian indigenous outreach program providing families affordable and safe childcare while teaching kids the importance of physical activity, connection with nature, and indigenous heritage. We have afterschool programs as well as active summer programs.
Services:
We provide afterschool and summer programs. We pick the children up from school, provide a snack, do a light work out, help with homework, or just play a game. Our summer programs are packed full of fun adventures and activities. We do arts and crafts, fishing, sports, swimming, nature hikes, and museums, just to name a few. We try and go on a field trip every day. We also provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack in the afternoon during the summer program.
Volunteer Opportunities:
People who would like to get involved with our journey can call us at 479-601-5363, send us an e-mail at: [email protected]. Check us out at BTXNWA.com or on our Facebook page at BTX Sports Fitness Club. We always need people who want to help in the community...helping kids be able to reach their full potential, whatever their situation.
