MISSION:
The Mission of P.E.A.R.L. is to provide assistance, education, and support to the specialty courts and the recovery community of Arkansas.
ABOUT:
P.E.A.R.L. (Positive Energy Affecting Recovering Lives) was founded by Karen Slater and the late Ben Roberds with a vision to support individuals in the Benton County Specialty Court on their journey to recovery. What began as a small initiative to assist court participants has grown into a nonprofit providing comprehensive recovery support to individuals across Arkansas.
What sets PEARL apart is that 100% of our staff are in recovery from substance use disorder. We've walked this path ourselves. Among our team, three staff members are graduates of the Benton County Adult Drug Court and former residents of PEARL Women's Recovery House, including our Executive Director, Kyra Moss.
PEARL is built on the belief that peer-led support creates lasting change, which is why 51% of our Board of Directors are individuals with lived recovery experience. Through housing, peer support, and community resources, PEARL continues to empower individuals in recovery, transforming lives and strengthening communities.
