Vision: To encourage all who enter here to find hope and experience positive life change.

About:  Samaritan Community Center (SCC) was established in 1989 by Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas as a food pantry and clothing ministry. By June 2002 the center had become a stand-alone non-profit legal entity with a mission to serve the hurting and hungry of NWA.

To show support for our initiatives, in 2003 Fellowship Bible Church gifted SCC a 19,000 square foot building located on four acres in northern Rogers. That same year Debbie Rambo, who had been working alongside her husband as a volunteer for many years, was hired as the first excecutive director, a position she still holds today.

A second location in Springdale opened in May 2004 with primary focus of serving those in need within the Washington County area. Over the course of the last 10 years, the Center has also opened two non-profit thrift stores; one in Springdale and one in Rogers. Net earnings from each store go to support the mission. Services:  Samaritan Community Center is an independent 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization who has focused their mission and goals on helping the people of Northwest Arkansas through a variety of needs-based resources.  Whether those needs are physical, spiritual, or emotional, the staff and volunteers at the Center are committed to creating a path toward self-reliance for their clients.  The services and initiatives offered at the Samaritan Community Center include:

-Samaritan Cafe
-Samaritan Care
-Samaritan Kids (BackPacks Kids&SnackPacks Kids)
-Samaritan Health Clinic
-Samaritan Market

Volunteer Opportunities:  We have more than 300+ regular monthly volunteers- people who come back each month on a regular basis. Why? They tell us it’s because sthey get just as much from volunteering at SCC as they give. Volunteers are needed for all SCC programs and for our thrift stores. Visit our website to find out more about becoming an SCC volunteer.
