What is the organization's mission statement?
We are dedicated to training disabled Veterans, First Responders, Children of the community, and others to teach their pet dog to become a service dog.
Tell us about your organization (how did it start, how is it run)?
We started with our founder got Victory for his disability, PTS, from serving in the U.S. Marines during Desert Storm. When he got her his nightmares reduced from two to three a week to two or three a year. The training was once a week for a little more than one year. She was his life savior. Victory also broke him out of spacing out during the day by placing her head on his lap, and he would come back to reality. Then he got involved with the organization. Now in Siloam Springs, Victory's Service Dog Ranch holds 2 classes a year, in January and one in July.
What services does the organization provide?
We have 4 established programs.
1. Service Dog Training
2. Recreation for participants
3. Emergency Veterinary Fund
4. Americans with Disabilities Act Education. We go to municipalities, businesses, restaurants, and other organizations to teach about service dog laws at the federal, State, and local levels for a donation.
