Brant Hansen is from small-town Illinois, and is a self-professed nerd, diagnosed with Asperger's as an adult. He's a fan of C.S. Lewis and toast. "Producer Sherri", also a radio veteran, is from Pittsburgh, has one of the world's great laughs, and demonstrates incredible patience with Brant. Both are believers in Jesus, but have difficulty fitting in with modern American church culture. Together they have a daily radio show that is syndicated across the country, with segments ranging from the latest animal news, to interactions with listeners, to discussions about how messy life can be, and how good God is.
In this final session, Brant brings everything full circle by asking the most important question:
What does God actually want from us?
Not a long checklist of religious tasks. Not a constant emotional high. What God truly wants is loyalty—a steadfast, believing loyalty that holds on even when we don’t feel anything at all.
Brant explores disciplines that help shape us into people who can live lighter, freer lives: prayer, Scripture memorization, Sabbath, solitude, fasting, silence, and gratitude.
This final episode leaves you with the invitation to walk with God daily, honestly, and loyally.

Brant talks about the unnecessary weight of anger and anxiety so many of us carry—and shows how following Jesus offers us a much lighter way to live.
He shares practical ways to become the kind of person who forgives in real time—yes, even in traffic and connects this to anxiety, too, showing how humans hold onto fear longer than any animal (baby zebras don’t get ulcers).
The life Jesus offers really is better, and we can live it now.

Brant opens the Followership Conference with an invitation into something radically different:
not a call to leadership, but to followership—actually doing what Jesus said.
He reminds us that there's only one expert, and the rest of us are classmates, learning together. Through scripture, history, and stories of hope, Brant paints a picture of the Kingdom so good that, once you see it, you'd give up everything to have it.
We’re invited to live differently—joyfully, peacefully, and
with purpose—trusting Jesus and becoming people of light in a dark world.
