Hope means believing that there is good in your future.
In my life, in relationship with Jesus, has been both harder and better than I could have imagined. Because of hope in Jesus, I know that the best is yet to come.
I picture having an anchor and chain cast way out and lodged into the horizon where there is a spectacular sunset or sunrise... That is hope in Jesus. That is believing that the best is yet to come as we pull ourselves through hardships, each step, each link on the chain towards His paradise.
We might arrive weary and weathered, but Jesus will draw us home where everything is as it should be. We'll be glad we persevered.
And so, let's keep persevering on our journey today.
