Mission & Vision:

American Canines for the Environment (ACE Dogs) is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization dedicated to the development, training, and certification of world-class K9 teams in the field of natural resource conservation and the environment.
We strive to provide the resources, training, interactive conservation canine communities, and certifiable protocols to deploy conservation teams made up on one "research aware", highly-trained handler and one dog in order to advance natural resource management and conservation through the strategic use of detection canines.

About:

Dr. Susan Rupp and Deanna Butler, met in early 2021 after Susan took a class Deanna was teaching in canine scent detection. An immediate friendship developed.  Deanna mentioned she wanted to move into conservation work after 20+ years training dogs in search-and-rescue, forensics, and law enforcement work.  When Susan responded she was a Certified Wildlife Biologist with 25+ years of research experience, a business partnership developed and ACE Dogs was launched in 2022. Susan and Deanna bring together a positive reinforcement training approach with a robust scientific method to produce some of the most reliable working dogs and handlers in the business.

Services:

We provide trained dogs to help in the field with field research - Training, demonstration, and education in the field.

Volunteer Opportunities:

When we are fully operational, we'll be looking for volunteers to help with dogs in the field and are in need of sponsors.
