Blessing Offor

The youngest of six siblings, Blessing Offor, a Nigerian-born singer/songwriter, immigrated to the United States with his uncle at the age of six. Born blind in one eye, Blessing’s parents sent him to the United States in an effort to restore his vision, though unfortunately he lost his complete eyesight by age 10. The disability forced the eternal optimist to maximize his other gifts — namely his soulful voice and his penchant for crafting songs on piano.

After a few years in New York City and a stint on Season 7 of “The Voice,” Blessing found a sense of belonging within Nashville’s vibrant songwriting community. Writing with lyricists from a variety of genres, ranging from country and Gospel to pop and soul, the singer eventually met Chris Tomlin, who signed him to his label imprint and officially introduced him to the world on 2020’s “Chris Tomlin & Friends.” Since then, Offor has become an in-demand collaborator, with guest appearances on notable tracks by TobyMac (“The Goodness”) and Benjamin William Hastings (“That’s The Thing About Praise”), among others. Additionally, in 2023, Offor released his 16-track full-length debut, “My Tribe,” which features his Dove Award-winning hit, “Brighter Days.”

Hints of pop, Motown, and soul flourish across Blessing’s music as he sings of optimism, hope, and finding silver linings in dark clouds.
