Imagine describing a dog to someone who’s never seen a dog and then asking that person to draw a picture of a dog… They might get some stuff right, but some stuff wrong… Thats kinda what its like trying to describe the new movie Backrooms, which is a feature length film based on a YouTube found-footage series based on an internet creepy pasta, about a subliminal space that just isn’t quite right, and in fact something very creepy is going on.
Zoe, a fan of this very niche internet content was very happy with this film and especially impressed it was directed by the same YouTuber who made those videos, Kane Parsons! If you like Backrooms content, she thinks you’ll enjoy seeing it on the big screen. She said it was worth the theatrical experience. It is rated R for language, blood, and some violence, but the film is primarily suspenseful and psychological.
