It was music to our ears when we heard that DOE Jones won her first GRAMMY at the 67th GRAMMY Awards this past weekend. And not just any award: Best CCM Album of the Year.
Her album, Heart Of A Human, is home to the Real FM favorite "So What" feat. Lecrae, along with other songs like "Holy Hands" and "So Glad We Met," showcasing her blend of hip-hop meets gospel meets soulful. This is her second album to release as a solo artist (not bad to win a GRAMMY already, right??).
She wrote on Instagram:
"As I was holding my beautiful son, Shiloh, and boarding a plane to go home, I looked down and saw a text from Walter Thomas .. the word 'tears' was all I saw and I immediately knew… 'OH MY GOODNESS… we won.🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️… I can’t believe it…'"
