🥲 "Burden" — Abe Parker

Abe Parker grew up in a two-stoplight town in rural Ohio, taught himself piano by sneaking into the school auditorium during study hall, and has now built a loyal fanbase thanks to his gut-honest songwriting. "Burden" is exactly that. It's a song written for anyone who's been quietly carrying something too heavy, telling them in plain terms: you are not a burden, and you don't have to disappear. If you're in that season of life, good luck getting through it without crying. I'll be honest... I didn't.

🎸 "Everything Is Better" — Hopeful.

Hopeful. is a San Diego indie alt-rock band of lifelong friends who grew up split between church pews and skate parks, and somehow made that combination sound exactly right. "Everything is Better" is the kind of song that makes a Monday feel survivable. Oh, and their producer? Gable Price, of Gable Price and Friends fame. Small world!
