Winter Storm Warning This Weekend

The National Weather Service in Tulsa and Springfield has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Real FM listening area. Benton and Washington in Arkansas, McDonald in Missouri, and Adair in Oklahoma are all counties under this warning.

The NWS is predicting 6-12 inches of snow with chances of blowing snow possibly occurring. They are warning that dangerous travel conditions are expected areawide, with impacts likely to continue into next weekend given the forecasted snow and sleet amounts.

There is also an Extreme Cold Warning issued for Benton, Washington and Adair county through Monday morning, where dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero are expected. In McDonald county, a Cold Weather Advisory is issued through Monday morning, with wind chills as low as 20 below zero are expected.
